REGULATORY UPDATE: RESERVE BANK OF INDIA - INVESTMENT BY FOREIGN PORTFOLIO INVESTORS (FPI) IN GOVERNMENT SECURITIES MEDIUM TERM FRAMEWORK

The RBI vide its notification dated 28 September 2017, has increased the limits for investment by FPIs for the quarter October-December 2017 is increased by INR 80 billion in Central Government Securities and INR 62 billion in State Development Loans. The enhanced limits are as below:
